Stories of Jared Leto's time on the "Suicide Squad" set have been told many times already -- and the film doesn't even come out until August. He gave his castmates some truly unique gifts, stayed in character during filming, and gave a performance so captivating that the crew would stop working. During an appearance on "Ellen," Leto talked to Ellen DeGeneres about his time on the set -- and he had very positive things to say.

"I got the call and was invited to play the Joker, which was terrifying, exciting and an honor," said Leto. "It was really the most fun I've had on a film in my life. I had a blast. It was a real honor to get asked to play the part. These characters are so special to people, and I have a lot of respect for that and it was a really really great opportunity."

"Suicide Squad" opens on August 5.
