There's no shortage of speculation about who will join Ryan Reynolds in the mayhem for the hotly anticipated sequel to "Deadpool." Amid swirling rumors about who might be cast as Domino and Cable, and which villains might be introduced, a surprising celebrity fan has emerged to lobby for a role.

"Saturday Night Live" veteran and "Ghostbusters" co-star Leslie Jones tweeted to Reynolds himself that she's all for joining forces with Wade Wilson for his next misadventure.

@VancityReynolds I want to be in deadpool. I could be smart mouth side kick. And my power would be loudness!!

Presumably that extra exclamation point is intended to drive home the volume.

To Jones' credit, she probably would be right at home next to the aggressively boisterous Merc with a Mouth. And if she can fend off an army of Internet trolls, then whatever Wade Wilson might say to her should be a piece of cake.

Despite the departure in October of director Tim Miller over "creative differences," the "Deadpool" sequel is targeting a Jan. 2, 2018, release, with "John Wick's" David Leitch behind the camera. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ("Zombieland"), who wrote the first film, return for the sequel.
