'LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures' Trailer Reveals Origin of Kyber Saber

The first trailer has surfaced for the newly announced “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures," introducing us not only to the Freemaker family but to the mysterious Kyber Saber that will propel the plot of the Disney XD series.

As previously detailed, the animated series centers on three sibling scavengers -- Kordi, Zander and Rowan -- and their droid Roger, who build starships from the debris of battles between the Empire and Rebellion. But when Rowan discovers a natural connection with the Force through the ancient artifact the Kyber Saber, the Freemakers are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy.

The trailer reveals that "long ago," a Jedi Master forged the Kyber Saber of pure kyber crystals, but later smashed the dangerous weapon and hid its pieces throughout the galaxy. The hunt for the Kyber Saber will place the Freemaker family, assisted by the lightsaber-wielding Naare, on a collision course with Darth Vader and the Emperor.

As The Brothers Brick notes, LEGO unveiled the first playsets for "The Freemaker Adventures" over the weekend at Toy Fair in New York City.

“LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures" will debut this summer on Disney XD.
