'LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens' debuts gameplay trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has debuted the first gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will not only retell the storylines from the blockbuster but also fill in some of the backstory.

The trailer offers a peek at some of the brand-new features, including Blaster Battles, in which players can use nearby objects and structures; Multi-Builds, in which players can use “available LEGO bricks to open up new paths, then break them apart and re-build them again to open up another"; and Flight Gameplay, which allows players to pilot iconic ships like the Millennium Falcon through arena-based battles and dogfights in space.

Developed by TT Games, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released June 28 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 (along with exclusive DLC), PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, and Windows PC.
