LEGO Recaps Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2 Minutes

LEGO Star Wars fans are in for a treat, as The Last Jedi gets its own pint-sized recap in only two minutes.

It just wouldn’t be a trip to that galaxy far, far away without LEGO recreating the magic of the franchise in brick form, and a recap of The Last Jedi is no exception. The animated short is a refresher for fans old or new to the saga, as the First Order tries to extinguish the remnants of the Resistance.

Starting with a brief recap of Mark Hamill’s adventures as Luke Skywalker from A New Hope to The Force Awakens, the video picks up exactly where The Last Jedi did, as Rey heads to the rocky outcrop on Ahch-To. Also along for the ride are a stormtrooper who doesn’t want to be a stormtrooper (Finn) and the moody bad guy (Kylo Ren). Everyone else, from Chewie to BB-8, is also there, anyone who isn’t a fan of Porgs should turn away, because those puffin-like creatures also feature heavily.

There are already plenty of LEGO sets that came with The Last Jedi‘s release, and those who have already started their collection might spot familiar toys such as the “Ahch-To Training Set” and the “First Order Heavy Assault Walker.” Even if fans can recreate their own crimson Throne Room at home, nothing quite compares to seeing the official LEGO guys doing in themselves.

The LEGO recreation is certainly a little more lighthearted than the actual events of The Last Jedi, with a kid-friendly version skimming over the many deaths and even managing to poke fun as Snoke being chopped in half.
