The set, which includes five minifigures, highlights several key features of the Sith Lord's fortress. It's divided into two parts: An underground hangar and the castle proper. The hangar is home to Vader's trusty starship, a TIE Advanced Warfighter hailing from the first Star Wars movie. It measures over 2 inches (6 centimeters) high, 4 inches (11 centimeters) wide and 3 inches (9 centimeters) long and comes equipped with two stud shooters and a cockpit made to fit Vader's minifigure.

The hangar also houses several ammunition racks, relic-enclosed secret compartments and a holocron-equipped shrine from the Sith's earlier days. It has a built-in mouse droid and docking station, too.

Vader's fork-shaped castle is equally feature-packed. The side access door hides a bacta tank, holographic comm units, a meditation chamber made to fit a single minifigure and a hook for Vader's cape. A circular meeting platform sits on the roof of the castle and comes equipped with defensive armaments and a stud-shooter cannon. Overall, the building set measures over 16 inches (41 centimeters) high, 11 inches (28 centimeters) wide and 9 inches (23 centimeters) deep and is surrounded by brick-built lava.

Loose parts include all five minifigures, as well as several weapons and weapon parts. These consist of two Royal Guards, one Imperial Transport Pilot and two Darth Vaders -- the original Sith Lord and his bacta tank counterpart. Each minifigure (aside from bacta Vader) is armed with its own weapon -- a red lightsaber for the Sith Lord, force pikes for the two Royal Guards and a blaster pistol for the pilot. The underground hangar hides two valuable Force relics, a lightsaber handle and a red kyber crystal for use on Vader's blade.

Darth Vader's castle made its film debut in 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at the height of the Galactic Empire. The site was already featured in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith during Anakin Skywalker's fateful duel against former mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi. It currently features heavily in Marvel's Darth Vader comics series, helmed since 2017 by Charles Soule, Giuseppe Camuncoli and Jim Cheung.

Priced at $129.99, LEGO Star Wars: Darth Vader's Castle is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. The building kit is scheduled for worldwide release during the holiday season.
