With The LEGO Movie raking in more than $200 million in less than two weeks, Warner Bros. is wasting now time in staking out a date for the CG-animated sequel. The studio announced today that the follow-up will arrive May 26, 2017.

Of course, Warner Bros. already put the sequel in motion before the first film opened on Feb. 7, hiring Jared Stern (Wreck-It Ralph) and Michelle Morgan (Girl Most Likely) to pen the script.

Directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord wrote the original LEGO Movie, which features the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell, Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman
