Lego Movie Clicks at Warner Bros.

After years of development, it looks like a movie based on Lego, the wildly popular Dutch building-block toys, has finally gotten the greenlight, Variety reports.

Australian graphics house Animal Logic will handle the CGI aspects, although the movie will also sport some live-action bits. Animal Logic previously worked on Happy Feet and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.

But they're not the only experienced CGIers on the project. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and are wrapping up directing duties on 21 Jump Street, will direct the action-adventure film along with Robot Chicken's Chris McKay.

The as-yet-untitled film is set to come out in 2014, with casting for the live-action roles to begin in January. Lego and Warner Bros. have previously joined forces to produce the ridiculously fun and funny Lego Batman and Lego Harry Potter video games, so we're hoping some of that humor makes its way onto the big screen.

Sorry, But the Shazam! Movie Won't Feature THAT Post-Credits Cameo
