DC's premier superheroes united in live-action in 2017's Justice League, where they saved the world but failed to ignite the box office. However, they've continued to thrive in animated form, whether starring in direct-to-video releases or appearing in cameos in features like Teen Titans Go! to the Movies and, now, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
Batman, returns, of course, joined by Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern from the 2014 original. But they've added to their ranks, with Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. The question is, who voices the heroes -- at least the ones who actually speak?
It just wouldn't be a LEGO Movie sequel without Will Arnett as the voice of Batman, so it's no surprise the Arrested Development is back after last year's The LEGO Batman Movie. His 2017 solo film brought major changes to the supposed brooding loner, but that's nothing compared to this latest feature.
Superman and Green Lantern
Reprising their roles from 2014's The LEGO Movie, 22 Jump Street stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill reunite to provide the voices of Superman and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), respectively.
Although it was reported last month that Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot would voice the iconic heroine in The LEGO Movie 2, the film's final credits confirm Cobie Smulders actually reprises the role from the 2014 original. Smulders is best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Maria Hill and as Robin on How I Met Your Mother.
The idea of Gadot voicing Wonder Woman isn't far-fetched, as she co-starred as Shank in Ralph Breaks the Internet, and played herself on an episode of The Simpsons.
Gal Gadot may not have rejoined the Justice League for The LEGO Movie 2, but her DC Extended Universe co-star Jason Momoa did. Riding the wave of the commercial success of James Wan's Aquaman, which has earned more than $1.1 billion worldwide, the Game of Thrones alum appears in the animated feature as DC's sea king.
Harley Quinn (OK, She's Not a Justice League Member)
Along with Gal Gadot, it was reported that Margot Robbie, the breakout star of 2016's Suicide Squad, would voice Harley Quinn in The LEGO Movie 2. However, the fan-favorite character is actually played by Margot Rubin, best known for the comedy webseries Margot & Me. Fans will have to wait until the release next year of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) for more of Robbie's take on the antiheroine.
Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor also has a role in The LEGO Movie 2, in which he's voiced by actor/comedian Ike Barinholtz, who may be recognized for his roles on MADtv, Eastbound & Down, Neighbors and, yes, Suicide Squad.
In theaters now, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part stars Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Nick Offerman, Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Charlie Day, Tiffany Haddish, Maya Rudolph and Stephanie Beatriz.
