LEGO has announced a new set on social media. The "Everyone is Awesome" set celebrates LGBTQ+ builders.

On social media, LEGO revealed images of the set, which includes figures and building blocks of every color of the Rainbow Flag. "We're super excited to reveal our new set - LEGO Everyone is Awesome! Because we celebrate every LEGO builder," the company wrote.

The announcement was met with some scepticism from fans, with some citing the set's 18+ rating and some questioning the purpose of the set itself-- whether or not profits would go to specific charities or LGBTQ+ organizations. While no reason was provided for the age rating, The LEGO Group assured in additional posts that it is committed to "support a number of organizations on an ongoing basis, including UK charity Diversity Role Models which helps children learn about empathy to ensure our future builders are accepting of everyone!"

The LEGO Group recently announced a wide variety of new sets, including a sizeable set of Spider-Man's former workplace, The Daily Bugle, as well as a model of Monica Geller's apartment from Friends, which includes the six main characters, as well as Chandler and Joey's apartment across the hall.
