LEGO debuted its first Ghostbusters: Afterlife-themed product with the launch of the new LEGO 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1.

Released on Nov. 15, the 2,352 piece set was inspired by the converted 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance featured in the upcoming film and measures 8" (22.5cm) high, 18" (47cm) long and 6" (16.5cm) wide.

According to the official product description, the new ECTO-1 model "features working steering, a trapdoor, ghost trap, an extending rear gunner seat, proton pack and cool details from the original car such as the iconic Ghostbusters logo."

The set also features a moving ghost sniffer activated by the vehicle's wheels and a variety of paranormal detection equipment attached to the roof rack. Additionally, two brand new LEGO brick elements featured in the set are a 6x14x curved windscreen and a 5 module steering wheel.

"I love creating LEGO vehicles and having previously designed the LEGO James Bond Aston Martin DB5, I loved the challenge of working on the ECTO-1," said LEGO Design Master Michael Psiaki. "This is the largest and most detailed version of this car that we have ever created. It is crammed full of authentic features and Easter eggs that I’m excited for builders to discover as they put this model together."

The LEGO 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1 set retails for $199.99, which also includes a Ghostbusters: Afterlife poster featuring an image of the ECTO-1 as seen in the film. LEGO's first iteration of the ECTO-1, the LEGO Ideas 21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Play Set, was released back in 2014.

The LEGO release came days after Hasbro launched its own updated version of the Ecto-1 Ectotron robot figurine. The vehicle-turned-robot combo figurine transforms in 22 simple steps and comes with a Proton Pack and Blaster accessories, as well as Afterlife-inspired Slimer and Muncher ghost figures. It is available for pre-order exclusively at Target for $49.99.

Directed and co-written by Jason Reitman, along with Gil Kenan, Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Annie Potts, and Paul Rudd. Original Ghostbusters cast members Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson will appear in the film. Harold Ramis, who co-wrote Ghostbusters and its 1989 sequel Ghostbusters II, as well as starring as parapsychologist Egon Spengler, will be recognized in the upcoming film.

The film was previously scheduled to premiere on March 5, 2021, but was delayed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to June 11, 2021.
