As any reader of Silver Age comic books can attest, the Caped Crusader's wardrobe isn't all grays, blacks and blues. Occasionally, he likes a flash of color, a little sparkle. Make that a lot of sparkle -- at least in this new image from "The LEGO Batman Movie."

“In all the Batman movies, there’s always a big gala, but one of the things Batman doesn’t like doing is going out and seeing people and carousing as Bruce Wayne. He thinks Bruce Wayne is a bummer. He’d much rather be doing Batmanny things,” director Chris McKay told Entertainment Weekly. “But fortunately Alfred [Ralph Fiennes] entices him to come out of the Batcave by telling him, ‘Look, if you go out tonight to this gala, you can have a tuxedo dress-up party.’ So in this shot, this is one of the many tuxedos that Batman tries in a sort of dress-up party montage like 'Sex and the City.'”

Well, if there's one thing Batman likes, it's playing dress-up.

Written by Seth Grahame-Smith, the spinoff of 2014's "The LEGO Movie" stars Will Arnett once again as Batman, who must overcome his fear of being part of a family, take responsibility for his adopted son, and learn the importance of teamwork if he hopes to stop The Joker’s takeover of Gotham City.

Opening Feb. 10, "The LEGO Batman Movie" also stars Zach Galifianakis as Joker, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Mariah Carey as Mayor McCasskill, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn and Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face.
