With Season 3 of FX's Legion poised to premiere sometime this year, the Marvel mutant-related series has gained a new cast member as a potential ally for main character David Haller.

Lauren Tsai has been cast as Switch in the upcoming season, with her undisclosed power set reportedly proving invaluable for David in his plans for the season.

While it's unknown if it's the same character, Switch is also the name of a mutant character with body-swapping abilities created in 1999's X-Force #87 by John Francis Moore and Jim Cheung. Originally depicted as a villain and member of the New Hellions, Devon Alomar can use his mutant abilities to transfer his consciousness and switch bodies with targets. Whether Tsai is portraying a gender-swapped version of the character and how exactly Switch fits into David's plans are currently unclear.

Legion was officially renewed for a third season this past June by FX though no premiere date has been announced yet by the network.
