The DC Universe of the future occupied by the Legion of Super-Heroes is about to introduce another new color to the Lantern spectrum.

Writer Brian Michael Bendis revealed a first look at artwork by Ryan Sook, Wade von Grawbadger and Jordie Bellaire for Legion of Super-Heroes #6, which features a Gold Lantern soaring through the cosmos. Bendis captioned the artwork, "Coming soon in #legionofsuperheroes issue six Gold lantern! By @rsookart @wade_von_grawbadger @whoajday @thedcnation @dccomics #icantwait"

The mysterious Gold Lantern appears to be in the middle of a battle, as he showcases his Gold Lantern and Legion flight rings, with one on each hand. The Legionnaire's costume also sports the Gold Lantern emblem on his chest, which sports a new symbol to add to the emotional spectrum. It remains to be seen what emotion the Gold Lantern commands.

As of now, the colors that make up DC's corps are green, red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, violet, white, and black. Of course, the Green Lanterns are the policemen of the galaxy and harness Willpower, with the other spectrums represented by Rage (Red Lanterns), Avarice/Greed (Orange Lanterns), Fear (Yellow Lanterns), Hope (Blue Lanterns), Compassion (Indigo Lanterns), Love (Violet Lanterns), Life (White Lanterns) and Death (Black Lanterns).
