A new variant cover for the newly introduced version of the Legion of Super-Heroes features three of the most iconic members of the team.

Series writer Brian Michael Bendis shared the new image by artist Jim Cheung on social media. The variant cover features the latest incarnations of Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy front and center against the backdrop of the Legion logo. The iconic futuristic squad of heroes recently returned to the DC Universe.

The Legion arrived in the modern era to recruit Jon Kent to explore the future. The appearance of Lightning Lad, Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl as the focus of the variant cover is a direct reference to the history of the franchise. Those three were the initial heroes who first appeared in the pages of Action Comics to recruit the young Clark Kent all the way back in 1958. Their mission led to the full introduction of the far future superhero team, and the trio has often played major roles in the various iterations of the series - including seemingly the newest version.

Written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Ryan Sook, Legion of Spider-Heroes #1 goes on sale Nov. 6 from DC Comics.
