Fans have waited nearly all season to see Rip Hunter return to command aboard the Waverider, and they're going to have wait just a little longer, as the time-tossed Rip is now a film student named Phil. And while the Legends did locate their missing comrade, it looks like he'll take a while to remember who he really is.

That is, if he survives long enough. The end of last week's episode found a very confused Rip/Phil kidnapped by The Legion of Doom. As seen in recent photos, each one enjoys a painful moment alone with him, and judging by the scene below, it looks like Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) is the winner of "Torture a Former Time Master."

The rest of the LOD seem disappointed in Darhk's findings until it's revealed Rip's tooth contains a secret, one that might lead the trio to the Spear of Destiny before it's found by The Legends. There may be some splintering among the group though, as Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) appears to be running out of patience, and time, with his cohorts. Either way, Malcom Merlyn (John Barrowman) proves that even a former Head of the Demon cares about personal hygiene.

According to the official synopsis:

TAKING RISKS — The Legends are determined to find and rescue Rip (Arthur Darvill), but first must focus on locating the Spear of Destiny. Stein (Victor Garber) thinks he has the perfect person to help but knows involving her will be risky. Meanwhile, Malcom Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) realize that Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher) is pitting them against each other. Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Franz Drameh and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Eric Laneuville directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#210). Original airdate 1/31/2017.
