The Legion of Doom was one of the very first supervillain teams to ever be formed. Originally showing up in the Super Friends television show, the team went on to eventually show up in the comic books, albeit when they appeared there the supervillains were portrayed much more seriously.

All sorts of different villains with all sorts of different power levels have joined the team over the years. Of the many villains of that have made it onto the Legion of Doom's roster, some of them have been incredibly powerful. Others could not have been more pathetic and useless. Here are the five most powerful members of the Legion of Doom and the five least powerful.

10 Most: Bizarro

the opposite reflection of Superman, Bizarro has all of the same great powers as the Man of Steel. Often characterized as a sort of clone or duplicate of Superman gone wrong, Bizarro often gets manipulated, due to his diminished intelligence, into working for supervillains.

Although he may not be quite as bright as the famous red and blue hero of Metropolis, Bizarro is just as brutally powerful. He doesn't ever really have a good battle strategy, but the monster always makes up for that with his incredible strength.

9 Least: Electrocutioner

Electrocutioner Suicide Squad

Appearing in Batman comics, Electrocutioner is not nearly as cool as his name is meant to make him sound. Essentially, the only thing special about this gangster is the electric gauntlets he wears on his hands.

You could put those gauntlets of his on any other member of the Legion of Doom and that villain would be more effective than Electrocutioner. Save for the few villains that rank higher than him on this list.

8 Most: Gorilla Grodd

The massive ape known as Gorilla Grodd is one of the Flash's most prominent enemies. He is certainly the greatest Flash enemy that doesn't possess super speed.

In addition to his incredible strength and surprisingly quick agility, Gorilla Grodd's main power is telepathy. His mental powers are stronger than almost any other telepath's in the DC universe. Because of this, he can be an absolute ringer in the midst of a super-battle, no matter who the Legion of Doom are fighting against.

7 Least: Javelin

Javelin in DC Comics

A former Olympic-level athlete, all Javelin has is his wit, athletic ability, and trusty spear. There are probably hundreds of supervillains in the DC world that are more capable than him. Despite this, he somehow made it onto the Legion of Doom.

Having a guy with a spear on your supervillain team is utterly embarrassing. Especially when that guy really can't bring anything unique to the table. He's just another generic bad guy with a very lame gimmick.

6 Most: Sinestro

Green Lantern's arch-nemesis, Sinestro, was once a Green Lantern himself. Then, in a bid for more power, Sinestro gave in to his fear and became the most notorious Yellow Lantern of all time.

Just as the Green Lanterns are one of the most powerful intergalactic forces of all time, the Yellow Lanterns have proven themselves to be equally as formidable. Having trained with the Green Lantern Corp for most of his life, Sinestro is one of the most skilled combatants of any of the colored Corps.

5 Least: Angle Man

Angle Man has the obscure ability to change the structure of objects. This can allow him to defy gravity, or even sometimes use teleportation. While these powers can be somewhat useful, Angle Man isn't the best person to use them.

At his best, Angle Man is a C-List villain. Even then, he doesn't belong on any sort of supervillain team. That is unless he wants to be the team's receptionist.

4 Most: Brainiac

A former Kryptonian supercomputer, Brainiac has since evolved to become much, much more. Today, he is a world-conqueror and one of the greatest threats that Superman has ever had to face off with.

Superman has tried his best to stop Brainiac once and for all, but every time that they face off with one another Brainiac finds a way to survive and escape. In addition to having one of the greatest intellects in the DC universe, Brainiac can also build himself one of the most powerful superhuman bodies to fight his enemies. with. A truly incredible artificial intelligence.

3 Least: Hellhound

Hellhound's main strength is that he is a dog trainer. That's right, a dog trainer. Other than that, he is somewhat of a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. But, when it comes to supervillains in the DC universe, who isn't?

One thing is for sure, Hellhound needs to bring something else to the table. Whether it be cooler, more deadly weapons or maybe even mutant dogs to command, he needs a little something to make him actually seem like a worthy supervillain.

2 Most: Black Adam

Although sometimes Black Adam can be characterized as an anti-hero, he is most often seen to be the "evil" Captain Marvel (or Shazam as the character is now known). Embued with ancient magical powers, Black Adam is a massive threat who can even take on the likes of Superman.

Very few characters even come close to the power level that Black Adam is at. Even his arch-nemesis Shazam has trouble contending with him. More often than not Black Adam ends up on top. He is by far the most powerful member of the Legion of Doom.

1 Least: Fastball

Fastball is a sort of cheap knock off of Marvel's Bullseye. All he can do is pick up random objects and throw them really hard. That's the extent of his abilities. When it comes to supervillain threats, it doesn't get more pathetic than that.

At this point, the Legion of Doom could have just hired an MLB pitcher to join the team. They never really needed Fastball, and at the time he joined the team they were all around pathetic. Don't expect to see him appear on the villain squad any time soon.
