As Marvel prepares to relaunch its flagship X-Men title, Uncanny X-Men, as a ten-part weekly series, Professor X's son David Haller, better known to comic book fans as Legion, takes center stage on the cover for the third issue.

Featuring virtually every mutant left standing in the Marvel Universe, the epic storyline teases major deaths among the X-Men cast as fan-favorite characters including Jean Grey and Bishop find themselves drawn into a deadly new mission.

Just as the pivotal 2003 Avengers storyline Avengers Disassembled saw Earth's Mightiest Heroes disbanded after enduring a reality-shaking tragedy at the hands of a mentally unstable Scarlet Witch, perhaps Legion's own history of mental illness could prove to be the X-Men's undoing.
