A new fan theory suggests a single, unseen antagonist might be behind all of the Season 4 shenanigans on DC's Legends of Tomorrow -- and that villain may be none other than classic comic book character Klarion the Witch Boy.

Introduced in 1973 by the legendary Jack Kirby in DC's The Demon #7, Klarion is a young practitioner of the dark arts, originally depicted as originating from the alternate dimensions known as Witch-World. Although some of the details have changed over the years, at least one thing remains consistent: Klarion's presence inevitably spells trouble.

Reddit user Itzie4 theorizes that Klarion’s arrival to Legends of Tomorrow is foreshadowed by the tile of the upcoming episode, “Legends of To-Meow-Meow," a potential nod to the witch boy's cat familiar Teekl.

Itzie4 elaborated that the young magic user is “tonally consistent” with the show, writing, “He's more of a malicious and playful villain who sasses heroes and causes mischief because it's fun.” Klarion, one of DC’s more powerful magic users, would also give Constantine a run for his money. And his penchant for turning heroes into kids would just be good television.

The only hitch to the theory, as suggested by ComicBook.com, seems to be that showrunner Phil Klemmer has stated the season’s villain would be less magical and more “human-scaled.”

Still, that doesn’t mean Klarion the Witch Boy isn’t up to something.

Airing Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan and Courtney Ford.
