The upcoming seventh episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 4, titled "Hell No, Dolly!," is set to feature a cameo from the '80s pop culture icon Paul Reubens, who is best known for most his famous character Pee-wee Herman.Reubens' involvement was announced in a tweet from the official Legends of Tomorrow Writers Room account, which reads, "Let's talk Ep. 407 for a minute. While Reubens' portrayal of Pee-wee Herman dates back to the 1980 film Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, the character truly rose to prominence following the debut of the 1981 television special the Pee-Wee Herman show.

The special led to the release of the Tim Burton-directed feature film Pee-wee's Big Adventure in 1985, which itself was followed up by the television series Pee-wee's Playhouse, which ran from 1986 to 199o, as well as other films, specials, cameos and even a stage production.

While the specifics of Reubens' cameo on Legends of Tomorrow are currently unknown, this is not the actor's first time appearing in a DC project. Reubens previously played the father of Batman villain Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin in both the 1992 Tim Burton film Batman Returns and the Fox TV series Gotham.
