DC's Legends of Tomorrow are dead. Long live the Legends!

In "I Am Legends," the latest episode, the team's fight against Greek Fates Lachesis and Atropos came to a head. While the Legends were busy securing the Chalice of Dionysus, the Fates commandeered the Waverider -- with Astra and Gary Green on board. With the power of the gods and a time-travelling ship, the Fates managed to kill all of the Legends except their sister Charlie.

After the Legends drank from the Chalice, which gifted them immortality for a 24-hour window, they set out to return to the Waverider. However, they quickly discovered their portal back to the ship had closed; what's worse, they couldn't get in touch with Gideon, the ship's AI. This left them stranded in England with no way back. After a brief brainstorming session, they decided to go to London, where a leftover Time Bureau station would provide the necessary tech to get home.

Unfortunately for them, Lachesis and Atropos had a plan for that. With their powers, they unleashed a zombie apocalypse on England. The ensuing chaos slowed the Legends down, but they got to the Time Bureau station just in time -- only to discover the Courier device wasn't charged.

As they waited for the device to charge, Sara had a confession to make. "The Courier isn't going to charge in time," she admitted privately to Ava. "In time to escape before that front door gets busted down by what's outside." When Ava asked why she lied about losing her powers, Sara added, "Because my vision ended with me dying here, in this pub. It's okay. This is why I didn't want to tell you. I didn't want to distract you from getting the team to this moment."

Not long after, Sara's vision came to fruition, and it was much deadlier than even she anticipated. When the zombies broke into the pub, Sara said she'd hold them off until the team escaped. The Courier still wasn't ready, so she did as she promised and distracted them long enough for the device to reach its full charge.

Once it was charged, Ava handed the Courier to Charlie. "Charlie, you have to go," Ava insisted. "Deal with your sisters and fix this. You outsmarted them once before. You can do it again."

So Charlie leapt across the bar and made a run for it. Around her, the Legends fell one by one, consumed by the zombie horde. Nevertheless, she made it back to the ship, battered and covered in blood. There, she encountered Gary, who had hidden the Loom of Fate with a magic trick. With his utmost confidence in her, he brought them back and handed them over -- only for Atropos to stab him through the chest.

When she caught sight of her sisters, Charlie took a deep breath. "I'm done running," she said in a flat tone. "Now, let's get to work." And with that, she produced the Loom of Fate, much to her sisters' delight.

Previously, Charlie was unable to operate the Loom of Fate on her own. She needed the help of fellow gods, which is why the Legends sought the Chalice of Dionysus in the first place. Now that her team is dead, she is fresh out of options. So it looks like she will use the Loom of Fate again with her sisters -- for her own ends, of course. With their help, she will be able to resurrect the Legends. However, to keep her team safe, Charlie will scatter them across different television shows in "The One Where We’re Trapped on TV," which takes its name from Friends' titling convention.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan and Jes Macallan.
