On the heels of Legends of Tomorrow's renewal, Jes Macallan's Ava Sharpe has been promoted to series regular. Now the Director of the Time Bureau, Ava works closely with the Legends -- especially since she and Sara Lance started dating.

"Jes had been guest-starring on Legends for all of two days when one of our teamsters, the guy who had been driving her to set, told me that we ought to make her a series regular. He wasn’t wrong,” executive producer Phil Klemner told Entertainment Weekly. "We haven’t hit all of Jes’s hidden gears as an actor. We are lucky to have a whole new season in which to find them. It’s not every actor who can find the emotional heart of a storyline that features John Constantine, a chicken, and a severed human foot. Thank God we found Jes Macallan."

In recent episodes, Ava discovered that she is a clone from the year 2213. Worse, she is the 12th clone to be a member of the Time Bureau, at least according to Rip Hunter. Along with Ava, Matt Ryan's John Constantine will also be promoted to series regular for the show's fourth season, which will premiere later this year.

Airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Steel and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash.
