Vixen roars onto "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" in the first official photo of Amaya Jiwe (Maisie Richardson-Seller), who channels the power of her ancient totem in this first look. Executive producer Marc Guggenhiem unleashed the photo on his Twitter.

"She's a member of the Justice Society of America, she's from the 1940s, everything is prim and proper -- not stuck up, but she does things right," Guggenheim said of the character in an earlier interview. "You have this team that doesn't do things right, they're a bunch of fuck-ups. So she's interesting counterpoint."

Jiwe won't be the only JSA member making her way onto the show. At Comic-Con International in San Diego, fans also learned some of the other heroes that will fill the team's ranks: Obsidian, Stargirl, Doctor Mid-Nite and Steel.

Created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner for 1981's "Action Comics" #521, Vixen receives her powers through an ancient totem that's passed through generations of the mantle-bearer's family.

Starring Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darville and more, "Legends of Tomorrow" returns to The CW for its second season on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
