Jessica Jones alum Terry Chen is slated to play the legendary conqueror Genghis Khan in Season 5 of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Chen will appear in Episode 5, which also happens to be the directorial debut for Caity Lotz.

According to TVLine, the episode titled "Mortal Khanbat" portrays Genghis Khan as "a cool-tempered but ruthless Mongolian ruler, who finds himself alone in 1990s Hong Kong." However, he shows he is a quick learner, and soon uses his strategic mind to conquer the globe.

"Today is the first day of production for the first episode of television I will ever direct," Lotz wrote in a Twitter post when announcing her directorial debut. "Can't even begin to express my gratitude to Phil [Klemmer] and the Legends writers, Greg Berlatine, CW and Warner Brothers for this opportunity. Now let's go do this!"

Along with playing Pryce Cheng on Season 2 of Jessica Jones, Chen's acting resume also includes stints on Continuum, The ExpanseVan Helsing, UnREAL and House of Cards. Chen has also appeared on Smallville and Arrow, making him one of the few actors to star on Marvel and DC televised programs.

Returning in 2020 on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan and Courtney Ford.
