Matt Ryan's John Constantine is more than "a skinny Brit in a trench coat" in a new promo for the midseason premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. As he clarifies, he's "an accomplished warlock" and expert on the occult. He's also apparently just what the Legends need.
Ryan reprises his role as from NBC's short-lived Constantine series as the fan-favorite DC Comics magician and con man for a two-episode arc, beginning Feb. 12 with “Daddy Darhkest." No stranger to The CW's Arrowverse, Constantine guest-starred in Season 4 of Arrow, where he restored Sara Lance's soul, and then returned to slip aboard the Waverider in the midseason finale of Legends.

In addition to his guest role on Arrow, Ryan voiced John Constantine earlier this year in Justice League Dark, the direct-to-DVD animated movie, and will star in the Constantine animated series, set to debut later this year on the CW Seed digital platform.
Between exorcisms on Legends of Tomorrow, the bisexual Constantine will apparently find time to flirt with Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller), the Leonard Snart of Earth-X.
Returning Monday, Feb. 12, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC's Legends of Tomorrow stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, and Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Steel.
