As the battle against the Encores continues in Legends of Tomorrow Season 5, the team is poised to go to Hell and back in an upcoming episode.
The CW has released a promo for next week's episode, titled "The Great British Fake-Off," with Heatwave returning to the Waverider and announcing his daughter wanted him to go to Hell. On cue, Gary alerts the team that a portal to Hell has been prepared.
The Encores have served as the recurring foes for Season 5 as historical figures resurrected to harvest souls for Hell and resurfacing throughout the timeline. Earlier in the season, John Constantine descended to Hell after years of smoking led to an early death and a war for his own son.
The upcoming adventure in Hell appears to be no dark and gloomy affair, however, with Heatwave visibly enjoying his time in the netherworld due to the vast amounts of fire.
Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan and Jes Macallan.
