Whatever your particular interest in watching "Legends of Tomorrow," the second season has aimed to deliver. For months, the Legends have zapped themselves across the time-space continuum, from the age of the dinosaurs, to the far future, teamed up with George Lucas and J.R.R. Tolkien, battled knights with laser swords, and hitched a ride to the moon. It's been quite a ride, and in the promo for the season finale "Aruba," it looks as if the show is trying to top itself.

The stakes have already been established: all of time, all of space -- indeed, all of reality is at stake. If this clip is to be believed though, the show is pulling out all the stops, and spending every last dime in their effects budget to fill the finale with lasers, shrink rays, freeze beams, and doppelgangers. It's the kind of over-the-top comic book shenanigans that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.

The whole team is assembled, and with the return of fan-favorite Wentworth Miller as Len Snart, there's now a whole team of bad guys for them to have their showdown with. The show has already planned a return for season three, featuring brand new characters, so expect this finale to conclude everything the Legends have been juggling this season. With the recent thinning of their ranks, the Legends are going to have to go about recruiting all over again- unless they pull a Legion of Doom and grab their teammates from a point earlier in the timeline! That's the sort of thing that can happen when a show totally embraces it's silly, wonderful comic book roots.

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” stars Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel. The finale will not air at its regular time, but will debut Tuesday, April 4th at 8:00 EST.
