DC's Legends of Tomorrow have a new big bad. In Season 5, John Constantine and his teammates will go up against Astra Logue, the little girl he once failed to save. Now grown, Astra is looking to fill the power vacuum left behind by the arch-demon Neron when the Legends defeated him.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Olivia Swann will have a big part to play in Season 5. She will reprise her role as Astra in a series regular role.

"A lot of what Constantine is going to be dealing with this is season is his very complicated relationship with her and a desire to save her despite all the pain and trouble she's putting us through," executive producer Keto Shimizu teased.

"We always chicken out when it comes to our big bads. She’ll probably be rehabilitated by episode 4," executive producer Phil Klemmer added.

In the Constantine series premiere, the title character had flashbacks to his failure to save Astra, a little girl possessed by a demon. She was accidentally damned to hell when he botched an exorcism. This incident haunted Constantine throughout his own short-lived series and into his appearances on Legends of Tomorrow.

Astra resurfaced at the end of Season 4 when Constantine went to hell in an attempt to save Ray Palmer's soul. There, he was offered a terrible choice. He could save either Ray or Astra in exchange for his own soul, but he could only pick one. He chose Astra, only to discover she is now an adult and had no intention of being rescued. Worse yet, the cliffhanger ending of the season found her cashing in some of the most evil souls in history, like Genghis Khan and Charles Manson, which suggests the Legends will battle these historical figures in Season 5.

Returning in 2020 on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan and Courtney Ford.
