Legends of Tomorrow Battle Ancient Romans on the Beach in New Photos

When DC's Legends of Tomorrow return in the Season 3 premiere, it seems as though they'll make some time to go to the beach before they fix the timestream. If new photos from "Aruba-Con," the season premiere, are any indication, this will go the same way as most of their plans: horribly wrong.

In the photos, the team runs into some ancient Romans -- including someone who appears to be Julius Caesar himself -- as they vacation; both Sara and Mick are seen throwing down with the Roman Emperor. Sara can also be spotted with Nate and Ray in a modern, minimalist cafe, before they run into a clean-shaven, suited Rip Hunter. Judging by the way Rip is aiming his gun in one of these photos, it may not be a happy reunion.

At the end of Season 2, the Legends were forced to break one of the rules of time in order to stop the Legion of Doom and, in doing so, they “broke” time. When they were forced out of the temporal zone by a time storm, they landed in Los Angeles in 2017. There, they encountered a cityscape with artifacts from different time periods, from old clock towers and futuristic spires with spiraling architecture to dinosaurs.

Premiering on The CW on Tuesday, October 10, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s third season will star Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Nick Zano as Nick Heywood, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein and Franz Drameh as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson.
