Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Finale Will Bring Back Jax

The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow will see one former crew member return for the show’s Season 3 finale. Franz Drameh will return for the finale, though there’s no word on whether that return will be a permanent one. Drameh played Jefferson "Jax" Jackson, one half of the nuclear-powered hero Firestorm.

Drameh departed the series earlier in the season after the death of Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber). Jax was left depowered by Stein’s sudden death, as their superpower was dependent on their ability to merge with each other. Jax tried to make the new dynamic work for some time, but eventually opted to leave the Waverider and end his superhero run.

According to ComicBook.com, though, the character will be making a comeback in the finale. How the depowered Jax’s return will impact the Waverider crew is yet to be revealed, but the show’s third season has revolved around various mystical totems that imbue their wearer with mastery over a particular element.

A fire totem was introduced in the second season of the Vixens web series and mentioned in the recent “Daddy Darhkest” episode of Legends. If Jax somehow came to possess the Fire Totem, its power might be enough to replace the abilities he lost when Stein perished.
