WARNING: The following contains spoilers for DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 6, Episode 6, "Bishop's Gambit," which aired Sunday on The CW.

Sara Lance has had some major life experiences, from the moment she stepped on the Queen's Gambit to her death and eventual resurrection. And with each event, Sara maintained a mark of her survival on her body as a memory of everything she had to do to stay alive. However, the latest episode of Legends of Tomorrow, "Bishop's Gambit," takes something even more valuable to Sara as her abduction takes its darkest turn yet.

Throughout the last few episodes, Sara has been trying to escape Bishop's planet and get back to her crew on the Waverider. During her first escape attempt, she ran into Amelia Earhart, who turned out to be an alien using the pilot's face. The alien attacked and poisoned Sara, leaving the Legend clinging for life. She eventually found her way to Bishop's palace, where he introduced himself and offered up a cure for her sickness. With no other options, Sara took the cure and collapsed, only to wake up chained to a hospital bed, fully healed. Since that moment, she's tried her best to get away from Bishop, even snapping his neck at one point. Unfortunately, Bishop has an endless supply of clones ready to "resurrect" him in case anything happens.

Now, "Bishop's Gambit" sees Sara try another escape plan, in which, instead of trying to sneak out, she decides to play along with Bishop's plan. Her plan starts to work, with Bishop lowering his defenses and inviting the captain to dinner. However, during the meal, Bishops informs his guest that Mick Rory came to save her but was most likely killed when he lowered the barrier that kept the planet safe for humans. While Mick managed to survive because he had a breathing mask, Sara couldn't know that, causing her to lose control and beat Bishop unconscious. She drags him to a door, hoping to find an exit, but instead, she discovers his clone lab.

Sara is disgusted that Bishop clones himself every time he finds a flaw, mostly because she takes pride in all the injuries she gained from her various adventures. Bishop then beings to laughs at her, stating that he doesn't see a single scar on her body. It's at this point that Sara notices a covered body on a gurney, and after she walks over and uncovers it, she sees herself, the original Sara Lance. Instead of saving Sara from her poisoning, Bishop cloned her mind and body and let the original Sara die. This development terrifies Sara, who now has to live with the knowledge that she is a clone. Fortunately, she will find some comfort with her partner, Ava, who had to go through the same revelation a few years back.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Olivia Swann, Jes Macallan, Adam Tsekhman, Shayan Sobhian, Lisseth Chavez and Raffi Barsoumian. Season 6 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
