The second season premiere for “DC's Legends of Tomorrow” has suffered quite a ratings tumble, scoring just a 0.6 in the key 18-49 demographic and 1.84 million viewers – a big drop from the figures its first season premiere achieved in January.

It looks like the time travel show's temporal shift from the start of the year to the start of the football season, and the middle of MLB's World Series, might have had some impact, but the news echoes similar ratings drops for the season openers of its fellow superhero shows on The CW "Arrow" and "Flash."

One bright spot for the network is the performance of its CBS transfer – "Supergirl" scored its new network home and 8-year ratings high.

The CW can only hope that ratings on their superhero shows will improve as they head towards their massive crossover event in December.
