The CW network has released a slew of photos for the February 21 episode of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Camelot/3000,” that show the Legends traveling back to the days of King Arthur’s court in hopes of securing the Spear of Destiny.
The team will have to move, though, because the Legion of Doom is hot on their trail. Luckily, the spear’s pieces are being guarded by members of the Justice Society of America in different time periods. Kwesi Ameyaw’s Dr. Mid-Nite returns as one of the spear’s guardians in the future, which leads the crew back to the fantastical era of King Arthur’s court and right up against Stargirl (Sarah Grey).
Meanwhile, Rip Hunter (Arthur Davrill) has been through the ringer while in the clutches of the Legion of Doom and has taken to hunting his former allies. The Legends will have to team with King Arthur’s sworn knights if they want to secure the spear and save their friend.
Camelot/3000 (Ep# PROD # 212)
ALL FOR ONE -- The Legends continue their quest to hunt down the Spear of Destiny before the pieces fall into the hands of the Legion of Doom. The Legends discover that pieces of the Spear are each being guarded in different time periods by members of the JSA. Their first stop is the future where they find Dr. Mid-Nite (guest star Kwesi Ameyaw) which eventually leads them to the past and King Arthur's Camelot, where Stargirl (guest star Sarah Grey) is protecting her piece of the Spear. In order to protect the Spear shard from the now-evil Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), the Legends must join forces with the Knights of the Round Table. Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Antonio Negret directed the episode written by Anderson MacKenzie (#212)
The Justice Society of America has taken on a life of its own in the CW’s Arrowverse, but the society’s comic book counterpart first appeared in “All Star Comics” #3 in 1940, created by writer Gardner Fox. At the time, the team consisted of Doctor Fate, Hour-Man, the Spectre, Sandman, the Atom, Flash, Green Lantern and Hawkman. The team was reinvented later as an alternate dimension version of the Justice League of America, which allowed the two to team-up in crossover events.
“Camelot/3000” premieres on the CW network Tuesday, February 21.
Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Maisie Richardson-Seller as Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel.
