Legends of Tomorrow Announces Tracy Ifeachor as S3 Villain

DC's Legends of Tomorrow will get mighty personal for Vixen in Season 3. During the show's panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Kuasa -- the sister of Mari McCabe's Vixen -- was announced as a villain for the upcoming season. Now, we can put a face to the name. Entertainment Weekly reports that Quantico star Tracy Ifeachor will play the character.

Since Kuasa is Mari's sister, that also makes her the granddaughter of Amaya, who is slated to be a main character in Legends Season 3. At SDCC, executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that the two will cross paths at some point this season, saying, "We’re looking forward to the inevitable confrontation between Maisie [Richardson-Sellers]’s character and her granddaughter."

This is not Kuasa's first Arrowverse appearance, although it is the first time Ifeachor will play her. The character was Mari's antagonist in The CW Seed animated series Vixen, where she was voiced by Anika Noni Rose. In the animated series, Kuasa tried to steal the totem back from Mari. However, when push came to shove, she joined Mari's side and died fighting alongside her. Since Legends deals in time travel, the show will likely pluck her from some point before her death in the timeline.

As pictured above, Kuasa appears briefly in the teaser trailer for Legends of Tomorrow Season 3. However, little can be gleaned from her cameo, where she simply stands in darkness and smiles up at the sky.

Ifeachor is no stranger to the genre. She has appeared in Doctor Who and The Originals and leant her voice to the Star Wars: The Old Republic - Knights of the Eternal Throne video game. Her past credits also include CrossbonesHawaii Five-0 and Billionaire Ransom.

Premiering on the CW on Tuesday, October 10, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s third season will star Arthur Darvill a s Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Nick Zano as Nick Heywood, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein and Franz Drameh as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson.
