After building its core premise of bringing together heroes from across the Arrowverse, DC's Legends of Tomorrow changed that up by pulling in villains from those shows as well. Last season saw the formation of the Legion of Doom, which featured The Flash's Reverse Flash and pre-heroic turn (and later death) Captain Cold, along with Arrow's Malcolm Merlyn and Damian Dahrk. Now, another Flash villain is coming to make trouble for the Legends: Gorilla Grodd.

In next week's episode, "Welcome to the Jungle," the team will travel to war-torn Vietnam in 1970 to deal with Grodd, who's yet another one of the pesky anachronisms caused by Sara Lance breaking time at the end of Season 2. Unfortunately, things are complicated by Grodd having amassed a small army more than willing to kill in his name.

If the setting sounds mostly familiar, it's because Kong: Skull Island also had soldiers and war photographers come across a giant ape during the Vietnam War. Thankfully, the Legends likely won't also have to fight giant lizards or spiders ... hopefully.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Tala Ashe, Franz Drameh, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Nick Zano, Wentworth Miller, Amy Pemberton, Dominic Purcell, and Arthur Darvill.
