After being on hiatus for over a month, Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 returns on The CW this week, debuting the first footage from its upcoming crossover with Supernatural.
The network has released a sneak peek from the latest episode, titled "Zari, Not Zari," as Sara Lance and Charlie search for an Encore in the Pacific Northwest, only to discover they've stumbled on to a filming location for the fellow CW series.
Revealing herself as a massive fan of Supernatural, Sara admits to Charlie that she has a crush on the series' main character Dean Winchester as the two continue to search for the escaped soul from Hell.
Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Phil Klemmer noted that a crossover of sorts between the two shows had been in the works behind-the-scenes for some time. While the Legends of Tomorrow episode contains props and musical references to Supernatural, the fantasy-horror series' stars Dean Ackles and Jared Padalecki were busy filming the final season of their own show, preventing an appearance on Legends.
Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan and Jes Macallan.
