Brandon Routh is set to exit DC's Legends of Tomorrow following the finale of Season 5. A series staple since the beginning, Routh recently reflected on the work he's done on the show to date, where he plays Ray Palmer (AKA The Atom), claiming that these last few episodes might be his best work to date.

"I've seen the rough cut, yeah — and it's probably the best work I've ever done, ironically," Routh told TVLine. "The last two episodes, I think, are two of the best episodes the show has ever made."

"The rom-com that Courtney and I did in the last episode [where Ray and Nora got married] was so much fun and had such a great energy, and what comes out of that, with the relationships and the emotionality of our final episode, is really powerful stuff," Routh continued.

Both Routh and costar Courtney Ford, who plays Nora Darhk on the show, will exit the series at the end of Season 5. With their departure, speculation has arisen that other actors are also going to leave, including Dominic Purcell—something Purcell recently debunked.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC's Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan and Courtney Ford.
