After the elimination of House of Milan, the remaining teams are moving on to the next round. Taraji P Henson joins the judges this week, and House of Balenciaga, Oricci, Tisci, Garçon, Miyake-Mugler and Icon are still in the game, and the following article breaks down the next two categories, the winners and the losers, so plenty of spoilers ahead from the HBO Max series.
Category Is Pop Art
While last week the category was Seven Deadly Sins, this week is serving Pop Art, and the houses must blend vogue with hip-hop. Up first is House of Icon, who was in the bottom for a second time last week, so they are eager to prove themselves with a performance straight from the panels of a comic, earning them a 46. Next up is House Balenciaga, and they are down one member this week for family issues. They wear glow in the dark outfits, and the judges wish they challenged themselves more, giving them a 41.
House of Tisci steps up to the stage, pulling heavy influence from one of the most influential pop artists, Andy Warhol. Their performance is very Night at the Museum, and the house reminds the judges why they were tops in their first week, earning 10s across broad this challenge, as well as a few standing ovations. Miyake-Mugler has a tough act to follow, but they manage to marry vogue and hip-hop with their decade hopping performance, earning a 46.
Not to be outshined, House of Oricci stands out in their light up sneakers, delivering a Cirque du Soleil level performance that earns them a 50. Garaçon is the last house of the night, and they took their feedback well, showcasing Tonka in their ode to '90s hip-hop, placing with a 48.
Category Is Body
The second challenge is all about body, with each house selecting one member to show off their figure on stage. Contestants need to earn 10s across the board to move on to the second round, where they will compete head to head; however, House of Balenciaga -- as the winners last week -- get the chance to prevent one person from performing, and they choose Tonka from House of Garaçon.
With round one, every house makes it aside from House of Oricci's Remy. Round two kicks off with Mother Stasha of House of Garçon going against Miyake-Mugler's Diego, and the latter moves forward, going against House of Tisci's Dro, who wins. Mother Shannon from House of Balenciaga takes the stage and boots Dro out of the competition, as well as her next competitor, House of Icon's Kylie Kat, thus winning the category.
Who Was Eliminated From Legendary?
While they originally had the lowest score, with Mother Shannon's win, House of Balenciaga earns an extra 10 points, putting them at 51 and giving them a second win. Unfortunately, this puts Icon and Miyake-Mugler in the bottom, with Father Jamil stepping up for Icon because he believes as the father it is on him for his house's poor placement the past few weeks. Meanwhile, Malik steps up for Miyake-Mugler, and the two give the best battle of the season, but only one can stay, and Icon goes home after being in the bottom three times.
