Legendary Comics has unveiled the first five graphic novels in its young adult line.

The Legendary Comics YA imprint consists of the previously announced Championess and Tragic, alongside The Heart Hunter. Rounding out the slate is Lupina and The Witches of Silverlake. Legendary Comics YA confirmed that it was "dedicated to telling original and character-driven stories across a wide array of genres."

"We’ve identified the young adult genre as an opportunity to expand and invest in our audience growth. Legendary Comics YA is the beginning of our long-term commitment to this category and the diverse stories we want to tell," Legendary Comics' Senior Vice President Robert Napton said.

"The YA genre is known for telling groundbreaking, innovative, and unique stories," added Senior Editor Nikita Kannekanti. "By working with exciting new talent and comic book veterans in the YA space, we have been able to acquire books where emotional and personal journeys are at the forefront. Legendary Comics YA is our chance to focus on fresh character-driven stories that reflect the diverse voices of young adults all over the world."

Written by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas and illustrated by Amanda Perez Puentes, Championess tells the real-life story of boxing champion Elizabeth Wilkinson. Championess will also be adapted into a television series by Legendary Entertainment and Watford & Essex. It is currently available in stores.

Tragic reimagines the events of William Shakespeare's Hamlet through an LGBTQI+ lens and is written by Dana Mele with artwork from Valentina Pinti and colors by Chiara Di Francia. It goes on sale on April 18, 2022.

Lupina follows a girl named Lupa, who is adopted by a she-wolf named Coras and seeks to topple the Addalian Empire. Written by James F. Wright and illustrated by Li Buszka, Lupina goes on sale on Sept. 9.

The Witches of Silverlake centers on high school student Elliot Green who meets a group of students at his new private school that turn out to be witches. At first, Eliot and his new friends have fun -- until they accidentally release a bloodthirsty demon. Written by Simon Curtis and illustrated by Stephanie Son, The Witches of Silverlake goes on sale on Oct. 1, 2022.

The Heart Hunter takes place in a world where people are cursed to immortality until they find their soulmates. Psych, a Heart Hunter, is tasked to kill others' soulmates -- all the while dealing with her own broken heart. Written by Mickey George and illustrated by V. Gagnon, The Heart Hunter goes on sale on Aug. 3.
