Legend of Zelda's Link gets in on the Overwatch action in a fan-made trailer.

In a Tweet, visual effects artist Etienne wrote, "It has been a while some friends and I worked on this project, and we are very excited to finally show it!" He shouted out fellow artists Kuru, Philémon Belhomme, Aaron Walker and Stephane Videlo for helping to create and develop the video.

The video starts with closeups of items synonymous with the Zelda character, including his trefoil shield. Link shows off his swordsman skills by opening a loot box and springing into action when fired upon. The clip ends with Link in an attack formation before the credits roll. The tone for the video is set by the signature Overwatch theme.

Even though Link has appeared in Nintendo titles like Smash Super Bros. and Mario Kart, the Hylian hero has never appeared in a non-Nintendo-affiliated project.

Link fans can get their fix through the remake of 1993's The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. The game is currently available on the Nintendo Switch.
