Ahead of the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel has released a special featurette titled "The Legacy of Ant-Man" that explores Scott Lang's career in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This special look at the size-shifting superhero premiered during CCXP and shrinks all of Ant-Man's adventures and misadventures into a two-minute retrospective. It includes some of Paul Rudd's most memorable scenes from Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man and The Wasp and Avengers: Endgame, with a brief look at Quantumania. While the Quantumania teaser trailer had already covered most new reveals from the movie, "The Legacy of Ant-Man" does include an ominous new line from the film's villain, Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conquerer.RELATED: Playing the MCU's Kang the Conqueror Is Mind-Bending for Jonathan Majors

At the very end of the featurette, Kang can be heard saying, "Your reality, everything you're holding onto -- I know how it ends. You're out of your league, Ant-Man." This dialogue did not appear in the recent trailer, which instead had Kang say, "I can get you home, and give you more time, if you help me. So what's it gonna be, Ant-Man?" This featurette's version is decidedly more threatening than in the teaser trailer, hinting at Kang's status as a time-traveler from the future, which was first alluded to in Season 1 of Loki.

Ant-Man, The Wasp, and Cassie Lang Return

Quantumania will follow Rudd's Scott Lang, Hope van Dyne a.k.a. The Wasp (played by Evangeline Lilly), and Scott's daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), who is shown with her own purple super-suit. Continuing the MCU's recent trend of exploring the multiverse, the story will send Ant-Man's team deep into the Quantum Realm and into the sights of the evil Kang. The movie will also introduce MODOK into the MCU, and will include Bill Murray in an undisclosed role.

While Quantumania is the third Ant-Man film, Scott Lang and his quantum shrinking suit have made several other appearances throughout the MCU. Following his debut in 2015's Ant-Man, he reappeared in Captain America: Civil War on the side of Steve Rogers, and showed off his new power to grow to an enormous size before he was defeated by Spider-Man. He also played a pivotal role in Avengers: Endgame, helping the Avengers restore the Infinity Stones with his knowledge of the Quantum Realm. Scott Lang hasn't appeared in person since Endgame, although Ms. Marvel mentions his podcast called Big Me, Little Me, and a quick Easter egg in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever mentions his newly published autobiography, Look Out For The Little Guy.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023, and marks the start of the MCU Phase Five.
