One of Hope Mikaelson's (Danielle Rose Russell) last surviving family members will reprise their role for Legacies Season 2.

Riley Voelkel will return as Freya Mikaelson for the sixth episode of The CW series' sophomore season. Voelkel starred as Freya on The Originals, the first spinoff of the hit series The Vampire Diaries.

Freya was last seen mourning the deaths of her brother Klaus and Elijah, who sacrificed themselves to save Hope. However, Freya did get somewhat of a happy ending, as she headed off to start a family with her wife, Keelin. It's unknown how Legacies will bring Freya back into the fold, but it could have something to do with Hope's disappearance after sacrificing herself in the Malivore. Hopefully by the time Freya shows up, Hope is back so the aunt and niece can have a happy reunion.

Legacies stars Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, Quincy Fouse as Milton Greasley/MG, Aria Shahghasemi as Landon Kirby, Peyton Alex Smith as Rafael Waithe and Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman. Season 2 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
