WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for "Let's Just Finish the Dance," the latest episode of Legacies.

One character on Legacies who has never been afraid to let his geek flag fly is MG. He's a huge comic book fan, and the latest episode introduced another character who shared his interest while allowing for a spirited debate on who is the best and greatest Green Lantern of them all.

"Let's Just Finish the Dance" brought the Miss Mystic Falls pageant to The Salvatore School, with one of the entrants a mysterious girl named Mia. Even though MG's head wasn't in a good place after being disowned by his father and killing Landon (who resurrected thanks to the Phoenix), meeting Mia and giving her a tour of the campus offered a nice distraction. It also didn't hurt that she was wearing a Green Lantern pin on her jacket.

"Do you like comics?" MG asked while pointing to the pin. "He's only my favorite," Mia replied with a big grin on her face. During the tour, MG and Mia began a discussion centered on who was their favorite Green Lantern, with MG choosing Hal Jordan and Mia picking John Stewart. MG even referenced the "Emerald Twilight" story arc from the Green Lantern comics that saw Hal Jordan driven mad after the destruction of Coast City, murdering his fellow Green Lanterns in the aftermath.

Hal Jordan would eventually redeem himself, which MG hopes is in the cards for himself after his recent act of murder. Before MG can introduce Mia to any of his friends, his mother makes a surprise appearance. She's come to pull MG out of The Salvatore School after learning he killed Landon, but MG refuses to leave. Overhearing the argument, Mia decided to do MG a favor by turning his mother into stone. If that sounds odd, don't worry -- she was earlier revealed to be a Gorgon, like the famous Medusa. Whether or not that disqualifies her claim of John Stewart being the greatest Green Lantern remains up for debate.

One of the earlier episodes in the first season of Legacies began with MG having a dream in his bedroom late at night. As he started to wake up, he was greeted to an oversized gorilla standing over him beating its chest and growling. Executive producer Julie Plec later confirmed it was Gorilla Grodd, archnemesis to The Flash.
