It looks like Legacies may be gearing up for a family reunion, with a fan-favorite character from The Originals poised to make her debut on The CW followup series.

Riley Voelkel reprises her role as Aunt Freya in Season 2's sixth episode, titled "That's Nothing I Had to Remember." It is unclear what brings her back into her niece Hope's life, but the episode will see the town of Mystic Falls stalked by a monster as it celebrates Commonwealth Day.

"It felt great to have her back in the family, and it’s great for the story," showrunner and executive producer Julie Plec told TVLine. "For poor Hope, who’s now been forgotten by anyone who’s ever loved her, to have access to a family member at this crucial time would be a really great thing.”

Hope returned to Mystic Falls at the start of Season 2, forgotten by her friends as part of a desperate incantation to save the town in the Season 1 finale. Whether her Aunt Freya will recognize her remains to be seen.
