Legacies: Angel Star Alexis Denisof, Alaric's New Rival, Debuts in New Photo

As Legacies prepares to return for its second season, The CW has released a new set of official stills revealing Alexis Denisof's new character Professor Vardemus.

From the season's third episode, titled "You Remind Me of Someone I Used to Know," the episode centers on a football rivalry between Mystic Falls High School and the paranormal private school the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Meanwhile, the newly awakened vampire Sebastian is seen observing the proceedings for a distance. The photos released by the network are below.

Prior to guest starring on Legacies, Denisof starred in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel. He recently had a recurring role in the second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix.

Details about Denisof's character, Professor Vardemus are still unknown but he will reportedly be a rival to fellow teacher Professor Alaric.

Legacies stars Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, Quincy Fouse as Milton Greasley/MG, Aria Shahghasemi as Landon Kirby, Peyton Alex Smith as Rafael Waithe and Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman. Season 2 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
