Over the past two years, there have been countless rumors and reports suggesting that Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland will also appear as their respective variants of Spider-Man in Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: No Way Home. While some have denied these rumors outright, leaked images appear to confirm them.

Photos from the set of the upcoming Spider-Man film have started to appear on social media, showing three different Spider-Man suits, each one resembling the suits worn by Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Andrew Garfield in the Amazing Spider-Man films and, of course, Tom Holland in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

There have also been several descriptions, suggesting that the upcoming film will feature Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin in a suit that has been slightly altered with new gear and goggles, instead of a helmet. The suit will also possess a shoulder strap and belt, as well as gold accents. According to the reports, the suit appears slightly damaged and has different metal parts and cloth wraps replacing the damaged parts. It's worth noting that at the current time, these reports cannot be confirmed, though Green Goblin has not been shown in images or trailers pertaining to No Way Home.

While Tobey Maguire has remained more or less silent in regards to any potential appearance in the upcoming film, Andrew Garfield denied his involvement completely, claiming that leaked behind-the-scenes footage of him in costume was deepfaked and images were photoshopped.

Aside from the disputed involvement of the Spider-Man actors, Spider-Man: No Way Home will see the return of several familiar supervillains, including Alfred Molina's Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2, Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin from Spider-Man and Jamie Foxx's Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2, to name a few. Recently, it was reported that the film will also see the return of Thomas Haden Church's Sandman from Spider-Man 3 and Rhys Ifan's Lizard from Amazing Spider-Man, though director Jon Watt's suggested that those were simply rumors.

Speculation about the film and its ambitious nature, as described by Watts, has only intensified after an exclusive article from Empire described the upcoming film with a few choice words, reading, "Spider-Man: No Way Home isn't just a sequel -- it's a massive, meta, multiverse outing in which Peter Parker finds himself fighting iconic villains from past lives. As its creators tell us, this is nothing less than 'Spider-Man: Endgame.'"

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to arrive in theaters on Dec. 17.
