Leaked Captain Marvel Video Shows New Footage

Ahead of its release in theaters everywhere in a little over two months, marketing on Captain Marvel has begun to ramp up and a leaked behind-the-scenes promo has revealed more previously unseen footage from the Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Posted on Twitter by user @RachelOfTheGalaxy, the promo is intended to run at Cinemark movie theaters as part of their pre-show program, First Look, before film trailers. The promo includes talking head segments with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and star Brie Larson interspersed over footage from the film.

"The idea that we can have a symbol that represents strength and humility and compassion, that feels invaluable," explains Larson about her character. "It's incredibly difficult but everyone is so loving and supportive that everyday has felt fun. I think that's what makes for the magic you see on screen."

In addition to brief glimpses of Larson and Samuel L. Jackson between filming scenes on set, the leaked promo shows expanded sequences of Carol Danvers making her escape as well as her and Nick Fury entering the Quinjet.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The film arrives on March 8, 2019.
