Riot Games may have another League of Legends spinoff in the works -- at least, that's what apparently leaked info suggests.

As reported by GameRant, a South Korean video game ratings board appeared to leak Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. According to the South Korea committee's website, the game may feature Sylas, a former Mageseeker, as the protagonist on his quest to "save Demacia." Allegedly, Mageseeker will release on PC and console platforms and have a parental rating for 12-year-olds and older. This is due to the apparent inclusion of content that is slightly mature, which is typical for entries in the League of Legends franchise.

League of Legends first added Sylas as a Champion in January 2019. Raised in Demacia, Sylas the Unshackled notably opposes the kingdom's unfair treatment of mages as the leader of Wolf Team. Following Sylas' own persecution for his magical powers, he became a rogue mage with a vengeance. Akin to another famous game protagonist in Castlevania's Simon Belmont, Sylas utilizes chain whips in battle.

Before Mageseeker, Riot Forge launched two A League of Legends Story games, Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem. Ruined King is a turn-based RPG, while Hextech Mayhem is a rhythm video game. Following their November 2021 launch, both games ultimately received mixed reviews. Additionally, Riot Games recently unveiled a developer diary for its upcoming free-to-play fighting game, Project L.

Project L expands the world of Runeterra, set in the same universe as League of Legends. As seen in the presentation, the game features tag-team fighting styles and three primary mechanics with pending titles: Assist Action, Handshake Tag and Dynamic Save. Beyond Project L, Riot Games' future titles also include Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story and CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story.

Henry Cavill Is an Arcane: League of Legends Fan

Beyond video games, the League of Legends universe has expanded into the television industry. At 2022's Emmys, Arcane became the first video game series to win Outstanding Animated Program at the prestigious ceremony. The adaptation has since caught the attention of The Witcher's Henry Cavill and his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso. The former Superman actor confessed to binge-watching several episodes at night with no plans to fall asleep. "I couldn't stop watching it, and it got really late, and Natalie was like 'Right, we should probably go to bed,' and I was like 'No, no, no, no, no, nope, gotta keep on watching,' Cavill said.

League of Legends Movie Prospects

In addition to Arcane, Riot Games announced its potential plan to create a League of Legends live-action film adaptation. "Riot will eventually dabble in live-action, film and interactive content," Shauna Spenley, Riot Global President of Entertainment said. "Arcane may be Riot’s first major step into entertainment, but the gaming company is just testing the waters of TV and film content for now."

League of Legends is available for free on macOS and PC. Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story does not currently have a release date. Arcane Season 1 is available on Netflix.
