Latest X-Men: First Class Images Showcase 1960s-Style Sets

Architectural Digest, of all places, has unveiled four new images from 20th Century Fox's X-Men: First Class as part of a feature showcasing the movie's locations and 1960s period sets.

The slideshow also includes stills we've seen before -- Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr playing chess, Raven Darkholme and Hank McCoy in the Blackbird hangar, Alex Summers in a fiery bunker -- but provides details on where the scenes were shot.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, X-Men: First Class also stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme/Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast, Lucas Till as Alex Summers/Havok, Caleb Landry Jones as Sean Cassidy/Banshee, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Oliver Platt as the Man in Black, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggart and Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore.

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

The movie opens on June 3.
