In the international poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Luke Skywalker himself wields his lightsaber once more. A promotional poster from Japan, which bears a strong resemblance to the one-sheet released earlier this month, features a key alteration: Luke has swapped places with Rey. Instead, she hovers above him and Kylo Ren, with Luke holding the weapon Rey brought him at the end of The Force Awakens.

Of course, this is the lightsaber his father Anakin used before he turned into Darth Vader. Ironically, Luke lost it when Vader cut his hand off in The Empire Strikes Back, but it resurfaced during the events of The Force Awakens.

Disney confirmed to ScreenRant that the image is indeed official. Earlier this week, merchandise depicting Luke with the lightsaber surfaced online, fueling speculation that he would use it in battle. Whether he will use it against his protege Rey or against the likes of Kylo, Supreme Leader Snoke and the First Order soldiers remains to be seen.
